Strange Days On Planet Earth

Animals are going into places there species have never set foot in! Plants are aliens invading unknown places. Spreading disease, eating away our buildings. Did you know that for every one person who says "Doom on Earth!", there is a person who says "The Earth is doing fine". Termites are super dangerous! They can tear down your home! In New Orland's, they have a HUGE termite infestation! That's not cool. The Fruit Fly came to the Americas and caused havoc everywhere!

Strange Days On Planet Earth Part 2

Lake Victoria, Uganda, one of the homes of a very dangerous Crocodile and a dangerous illness that causes abdominal pain, chills, and bloody urine. Many fish also came to Uganda, and because of that, more Crocodile attacks have been happening. Water hysion is a big problem too. Some people say that it came from a bad romance. The plant spreads and covers HUGE amounts of water! People try to attack it using an insect, but that might not work. If it fails, they find an other source of food, and they get an other animal to eat them, and then it fails, finds an other food resource, and so on and so forth, BUT, they try to get weevils to eat the plants, and so far, there doing great!

Big Island, Hawaii, U.S.A, land slides due to heavy waters can damage and hurt the residents and native animals living on Hawaii and the animals of the reef! One plant causes the landslides! It uses its roots to get water, but there super strong and make the ground loose, causing the landslides, they also have berries that hold hundreds of seeds!

Strange days on planet Earth part 3

Each ship can contain an invader. The water in the ship might be the thing holding the invader. In San Fransisco, they put items underwater for a while and pull it up and see what it has on it. Some from China! That, is far! The Earth was calm and when something from China came to the U.S.A, that was rare, but now, that's common. People say that at one point in our history, 2/3 of land mammals will become extinct.

The one Degree Factor

By burning carbon fuels, we have raised he Earths temp. by one degree. One little change can make a BIG change! Some parts of the Earths' land scape has Increased by 11 degrees and some have dropped by 7 degrees! A conservation officer has survived by trying to get all that he can, and that includes eating Caribou. There is a tribe that depends on Caribou, and because of the climate change, they might not be here. The Caribou don't like mosquitoes and they literally head for the hills to protect themselves from the insects, and when weather is good, they might increase in population, but when bad weather occurs, they might never recover from the decrease in population. We depend on them. We need them. Scientist think the temp. might increase 2 to 3 degrees in future centuries.
